ENERGY COUNCIL MEETING
This past week, the Fort Worth Chamber hosted the inaugural meeting of its newly established Energy Council. The Energy Council was formed to foster peer-to-peer dialogue among leaders across all sectors of the energy industry, as well as the supporting industries that drive Fort Worth’s dynamic economy.
The council brings together professionals from all areas of energy, including oil, natural gas, wind, solar, and nuclear power, along with organizations that develop the tools and technologies essential to managing and advancing these diverse energy sources.
Garrett Golding, an expert from the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, served as the event's keynote speaker. His insightful presentation provided not only an overview of current energy markets but also a thorough analysis of the ongoing transitions shaping the energy landscape. Of particular interest were his slides on energy transitions, highlighting the evolving mix of energy sources and the growing diversity of the Texas energy sector. The accompanying graphs underscored the increasing reliance on a wide range of energy outputs, showcasing the state's robust and adaptable energy market.
Following his presentation, Garrett engaged in a lively Q&A session, further enriching the discussion and making the event a resounding success. For those in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, I encourage you to stay connected with the Fort Worth Chamber to stay informed about upcoming events and opportunities in the energy sector.
